Workshop/Traning Details
- Identify potential MSME units in Gujarat suitable for CST applications, particularly those with significant thermal energy requirements and suitable process heat applications.
- Conduct preliminary assessments of interested MSMEs to evaluate their thermal load, operating temperature, available space, solar resource (DNI), and overall suitability for CST installation.
- Facilitate technical site assessments and energy audits for shortlisted MSMEs to establish baseline energy consumption and identify suitable CST integration opportunities.
- Provide technical guidance to MSMEs on appropriate CST technologies, system sizing, process integration, thermal storage, and other relevant solutions.
- Create awareness of the financial support mechanism available under the UNIDO-GEF-MoMSME project and guide eligible MSMEs through the application and approval process.
- Support preparation of DPRs/proposals for shortlisted MSMEs, including technical specifications, estimated investment, expected energy savings, emission reductions, and financial viability.
- Engage industry associations and other stakeholders, including GCCI and MSME-DFO Ahmedabad, to disseminate information and identify additional potential beneficiaries.
- Share successful CST case studies and lessons learned with interested MSMEs to demonstrate the technical, economic, and environmental benefits of CST adoption.
- Follow up with workshop participants to identify interested MSMEs and develop a pipeline of potential CST demonstration and replication projects.
- Maintain a database of interested MSMEs and track their progress from initial expression of interest through assessment, proposal preparation, approval, installation, and commissioning.
- Organize further cluster-level awareness/technical sessions, where required, to reach additional MSMEs and accelerate CST technology adoption.
- Monitor and document outcomes from the workshop, including the number of MSMEs contacted, interested units identified, assessments conducted, proposals developed, and CST systems subsequently installed.
